We believe that power should be in the hands of the people.

On the ground or online, you’ll find People Power for Florida promoting civic engagement and increasing voter participation with our organizers and volunteers across Florida.

We are building a multi-class, multi-racial, and multi-generational coalition that shows up in different communities, on college campuses, and all across the Sunshine State to help people access their right to vote.

People Power for Florida was founded in 2017 with an initial contribution of $35 from then first-time candidate, Anna V. Eskamani. Originally used as an organization to support her candidacy, Anna has since transformed the organization to entirely focus on voter registration and empowerment.

Today, we’re leading the way on voter registration and organizing for a future we can all be proud of. People Power for Florida is here to register voters, facilitate powerful conversations with future voters, and inspire the next generation of leaders to ensure power stays in the hands of the people of Florida.

People Power for Florida is on a mission to change what civic and political engagement looks like.

Every person should have access to the ballot and be able to use their vote as their voice.

We envision a Florida where volunteers, organizers, and voters alike can come together to participate in our democracy and protect our collective rights. With a shared vision, it is our hope to reimagine what’s possible when we come together with a common goal to make our democracy stronger in a time when it has never been more at risk.

Our organizers are hard at work to make registering to vote and voting accessible for all Floridians — through our multi-class, multi-racial, multi-generational, and inclusive model of engagement.

OUR VISION

  • “I am concerned about our democracy—and I’d been doing postcards locally—but I’m concerned about election deniers and fair elections. We need more people to register—which is why I volunteer.”

    - Kristine, New Port Richie

  • “Volunteering with People Power for Florida was a great opportunity to meet new people, go to great events and challenge the hopelessness I feel about Florida elections after seeing we registered over 8k people!”

    - Jeannie, Miami

  • “I became a U.S. citizen in 2022 and within a week getting my citizenship I was registered to vote with the help of the amazing people at People Power for Florida. They ensure that all Floridians have a voice in who runs our state and I am so grateful for their help.”

    - Roxane, Orlando

  • “Working with People Power for Florida (PPFF) has been one of the most remarkable experiences for FAMU College Democrats since being rechartered on campus. No other organization has been so engaging in ensuring that people on our campus are knowledgeable about fundamental civic engagement, community organizing, and registering students to vote.”

    - Jovan, Tallahassee
