People Power for Florida Launches Statewide Dorm Storm to Mobilize Young Voters

MEDIA ADVISORY | FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Orlando, FL: People Power for Florida (PPFF) is kicking off summer with purpose, hitting college campuses across the state to register voters and engage students in democracy and local elections. On Saturday, June 21st, volunteers will be canvassing dorms at UCF, FSU, and UF, with a follow-up push at USF on June 28th. Volunteers will help register voters, build community power, and collect signatures to place Medicaid Expansion on Florida’s 2026 ballot.

Young people have the power to transform Florida’s future — but only if they vote. In the face of voter suppression, attacks on public education, and the rollback of healthcare access, PPFF is not slowing down. This summer’s Dorm Storm is one more way we’re showing up, organizing peer-to-peer, and registering voters where they live. When young people vote, we all win.
